DIGITAL MANAGEMENT PLATFORM

Vietnam Environmental Incident Response Center

About the Vietnam Environmental Incident Response Center Digital Management Platform

The digital management platform of the Vietnam Environmental Incident Response Center: what it is for, what it holds, where the data comes from and who can access it.

About the Platform

The Vietnam Environmental Incident Response Center (SOS Environment) works in environmental incident prevention, response and recovery across the country. The digital management platform is where that work is recorded, tracked and looked up.

The platform brings the different areas of work together in one place. Users sign in once and work on the part that belongs to them, instead of moving between separate tools.

The online map (WebGIS) is the part that is open to everyone. Anyone can view the nationwide SOS station network and the underlying map layers without an account. The rest of the platform is for authorized users. The interface is available in Vietnamese and English.

Disclaimer

This app/portal DOES NOT represent any government entity or state organization.

This is an internal operational management system developed and operated by the Vietnam Environmental Incident Response Center (SOS Environment), a private enterprise. Any information related to state management, administrative boundaries, or legal documents (if any) is compiled from open public data sources to support internal incident response operations. This data has no legal standing and does not replace official information or documents from competent state authorities.

What the Platform Covers

The platform follows the life of an environmental incident: identifying where the risks are, preparing for them, handling the incident itself and tracking the recovery afterwards. Around that sit the resources and the records that go with the work.

  • Maps and spatial data: SOS stations, risk points, administrative boundaries, rivers and lakes, and other reference layers.
  • Operational records: incidents, response plans, recovery results and supporting documents.
  • Response resources: stations, units, personnel, supplies and vehicles.
  • Customer records, compliance documents and a library of environmental legislation.

The platform also supports the day-to-day operations and administration of the Center. That part is used internally only.

Data and Limitations

The data comes from the professional work of the Center, from field surveys and from selected public sources. Coverage and update dates vary between data types, depending on how often an area is surveyed and where the information comes from.

The platform supports lookup and initial decision-making. Before data is used in a formal record, it should be checked against source records, monitoring results, field records or the competent authority.

Base maps and administrative boundaries are for reference only. They are not intended for determining boundaries or settling disputes. For legal documents, check that a document is still in force at its issuing source before citing it.

Accounts and Access

Accounts are issued by the Center to its own staff, to partner authorities and to customers using its services. Each account sees only the data that matches its duties and its geographic area.

Actions that change data are logged so they can be traced later. Users are responsible for the information they enter, and internal data is not shared outside the platform without permission.

If you find information that is wrong or out of date, please let the platform administrators know so it can be checked and updated.
